The main anxiety attack symptom is one of extreme fear.  During an attack you may feel as though you have a serious health problem, and may even think that you are having a heart attack because of chest pain.

Other symptoms may include:

  • Light headedness or dizziness.
  • Sweating or trembling.
  • Experiencing hot flashes.
  • A fear of doing something embarrassing
  • Experiencing a feeling of doom.
  • Stomach upset
  • Numbness or tingling of hand, feet or lips.

When an anxiety attack occurs, people are often so overwhelmed that they forget to breathe properly and tend to hyperventilate.  This leads to your breathing becoming too fast and shallow.

Some things to do to help overcome your symptoms:

  • Breathe slowly and deeply.  Learn correct breathing techniques.
  • Learn relaxation techniques that will come in handy when experiencing an attack.
  • Be prepared with your medications in case of an attack and have them handy for others to find.
  • Have a list of phone numbers of your support network.
  • Have a comforting and familiar object with you.

Anxiety and panic attacks can be treated successfully without medication. Joe Barry is the expert and a leader in his field with Panic Away.  He has used his revolutionary technique to help many suffers to be free of anxiety attack symptoms.
